You alright bab?
I remember coming here for the first time in October 2015. Feels so long ago! And I remember getting to the main train station – Birmingham New Street and getting out my oystercard! “O yeah we’re not in London” I said. And so I had to quickly get used to buying a ticket every week and not forgetting my 16 – 25 railcard!
And the brummy accent.. as they call it. I genuinely could not understand anything. I would always say, “Sorry please can you say that again?” I felt like I was in another country!
But Birmingham is a nice city, not as big as London but again there are quite a few things to do here. Such as the Bullring Shopping Centre or the Sea Life Aquarium (still need to go there!) or having lunch at The Mailbox. O yeah and I went to BBC Birmingham (that’s at the Mailbox too!).
All in all, it’s a lovely city!
